With each Stitch

Early on, I had decided to only post pics of quilts that were given as gifts to family; more specifically, to not post my quilts made for charities, the homeless, the less fortunate.  I guess I felt I was protecting their privacy.

But last week one of the shelters, to whom I regularly give quilts, asked if I would post at least one of their quilts, one that could easily be replicated by others who would like to make quilts for them.  'But the blogosphere is full of such quilt ideas,' I said. 'Don't be bashful, be helpful!' was the coordinator's reply (one that I can imagine she says frequently...;).

So here is this week's quilt. All made from the stash. Simple, easy, and a little wonky star fun.
8"x8" squares (unf) in an 8x11 grid,
wonky stars added,
with a 4.25" border= a  twin 68.5x90.5

loopy stitching with striped stars
Because I have been given much, I too must give.

I pray each stitch will confirm to the recipient their worth.

Thank you. Isn't it usually the influence of others in our lives that teaches us to be better?
Have a wonderful Christmas season.
